โปรแกรมพิเศษที่ยกทัพหนังฮ่องกงเรื่องดังในความทรงจำทั้ง วิ่งสู้ฟัด (Police Story), ดอกไม้กับนายกระจอก (An Autumn's Tale) และ ตีแสกตะวัน (Once a Thief) กลับมาขึ้นจอใหญ่ในฉบับ 4K Restored Version พร้อมหนังคลาสสิกร่วมทุนสร้างระหว่างไทยกับฮ่องกงจากยุค 1950 อีก 2 เรื่อง กตัญญูปกาสิต (Flame in Ashes) และ A Forgotten Wife 10-12 พ.ย.นี้ ที่หอภาพยนตร์
อุตสาหกรรมภาพยนตร์ฮ่องกงมีประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนานในการส่งออกผลงานไปยังต่างประเทศ ด้วยความมุ่งมั่นที่จะขยายตลาดให้สามารถเข้าถึงผู้ชมนอกพื้นที่ นับตั้งแต่ทศวรรษที่ 1940 และ 1950 บริษัทต่าง ๆ ในฮ่องกงได้เข้าไปร่วมมือกับอุตสาหกรรมในประเทศใกล้เคียง เช่น ญี่ปุ่น เกาหลี และประเทศในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ อย่างประเทศไทย ซึ่งได้มีความสัมพันธ์ทางด้านวัฒนธรรมและการค้าร่วมกับฮ่องกงอยู่บ่อยครั้ง
เพื่อเป็นการระลึกถึงความร่วมมือที่สำคัญนี้ ในช่วงกิจกรรม Hong Kong Week หอภาพยนตร์ฮ่องกงและไทยจะร่วมกันนำเสนอโปรแกรมภาพยนตร์ ซึ่งหอภาพยนตร์ฮ่องกงได้คัดสรรมา 5 เรื่อง เป็นผลงานการร่วมทุนสร้างในยุค 1950 ระหว่างไทยกับฮ่องกง 2 เรื่อง และหนังฮ่องกงคลาสสิกจากยุค 1980-1990 อีก 3 เรื่อง ที่เคยสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้แก่คนทำหนังไทยจำนวนหนึ่ง เพื่อจัดฉายที่โรงภาพยนตร์ศาลาศีนิมา หอภาพยนตร์ ประเทศไทย รวมทั้งนำโปสเตอร์จากหอภาพยนตร์ฮ่องกงมาจัดแสดงให้ชม
หอภาพยนตร์ฮ่องกงหวังว่า โปรแกรมดังกล่าวจะมีส่วนช่วยพัฒนาการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมและขยายจิตวิญญาณแห่งการร่วมมือกันระหว่างสองดินแดนให้ดียิ่งขึ้นต่อไป
The Hong Kong film industry has a long history of border-crossing endeavours, striving to expand its market by reaching audiences beyond the city's boundaries. Since the 1940s and 50s, Hong Kong companies have been collaborating with nearby industries, like that of Japan, Korea and Southeast Asian nations. Thailand, with which Hong Kong has had many contacts on cultural and commercial fronts, was a frequent collaborator.
To commemorate this meaningful cooperation, the Hong Kong Film Archive (HKFA) and the Thai Film Archive (TFA), will co-present a screening programme in Thai Film Archive. The HKFA contributes to the event with a selection of five Hong Kong production. Two co-production films and three Hong Kong classic dated 1980-1990 which served as inspiration for some Thai directors.
It is the hope of the Hong Kong Film Archive that, through this programme, cross-cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Thailand will be enhanced, extending the spirit of cooperation between the two territories. A mini poster exhibition will also be held, displaying posters of selected Hong Kong films.
